1)Read beforehand

2)a: Use connecting sentences
     b:Edit for clarity

I was reading Foucault's "The Birth of the Clinic" last night in bed, and having all these interesting idea of things to write about. But when I woke up it was so bright and I was so alert that everything just fell apart.

But I have a few things to say, particularly in regards to my end of semester essay. I'm writing about the changing conception of the body, which is why I was reading Foucault in the first place.

"The body is a site of converging discourses", said somebody in a paper I read. This, I think, is really just a pretentious way of noting that the human body has been discussed in medical, moral, religious and academic fora.

-Foucault's work about the medical gaze.
-Feminisim (haraway)
etc.
