Thanksgiving weekend

Thanksgiving was decent. Went to my aunt's house on my dad's side of the family. The only reason I went was because of my grandma. If it wasn't for her I would've skipped it, let's just say I'm not real fond of that side of my family. Thankfully my mom went with me & was my buffer. But I did get to see Matt & Jaime's daughter Grace, she's gorgeous!

I would've rather spent the day with my mom's side of the family. They're the ones I'm closest too. Plus my aunt & uncle's family from Vermont came home to visit. Got my hands on my cousin's 6 month old (Emma). She's freakin' cute! All cheeks!

Aunt Nita, Uncle Joe & JJ came up on Friday afternoon to see mom's new house & while here they helped mom put up the Christmas lights outside. I am eternally grateful because that meant I didn't have to get my chicken shitted ass up on a ladder.

I like this 4 day weekend thing! It's sweet!

Yesterday afternoon I went out to Super Walmart go get some groceries for dinner & to pick up some pictures I needed for Christmas presents. Mom had me pick up a belt for her vacuum & while I was so preoccupied with that I completely forgot to get dog food. So last night at 8 pm I had to go out to Meijer to get food so Katie & Stevie could eat dinner. DOH!

Chad, Heather & Mackenzie were supposed to come over for dinner last night. But Chad's been pretty sick this week, he's trying to pass a kidney stone. *cringes at just the thought* So they didn't make it last night. So mom & I had spaghetti, salad & garlic bread sticks for dinner. With black forest cake for dessert. Yum!

Today I went over to Barb & Andy's house to hang out. Jenny was over there already when I got there. I stopped at Tim Horton's for Tim Bits & some coffee for us on the way. I got an English Toffee cappuccino, Andy got a French Vanilla cappuccino, Barb got a Butter Caramel hot smoothie & so did Jenny. Besides the Tim Bits, we had scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage for brunch.

I was looking through the ads from the paper after breakfast & Alex was sitting with me. The KMart ad had a bunch of NASCAR stuff in the toy section. Of course Alex got all excited & took the page into Barb's room to show her while she was getting dressed. It was too cute! Then Megan & Hailey asked if we could go to the mall & Alex asked if we could go to the NASCAR store. He brought out the wood Home Depot car that he & Andy made at one of the kids workshops & was playing with that. I've created a monster! LOL! But he's a cute little monster! I can't wait to give him his Christmas presents, he's gonna love them! ;)

Hannah fell asleep on Jenny in the rocking chair so Jen put her in her crib to take a nap. So Andy stayed home with Hannah while Barb, Hailey, Megan, Alex & I headed up to the mall. Jenny decided to go home so she didn't go with us up to the mall. The first store we stopped at was the NASCAR store & Alex just loved the die cast cars. Of course his favorite was the Home Depot car. Then we went to Old Navy & I found a couple sweaters that I really liked. Now that Barb's working at Old Navy she gets a 20% discount. And this week coming up is a friends & family week so whomever you give your little postcards to gets 20% off as well. So tomorrow I think I'm gonna head to the Old Navy up the road from work to get a sweater to wear for Christmas. Barb did some shopping for Alex while we were at Old Navy. She had to get him some new jeans becuase he's growing like a weed. So she got him a couple pair of jeans & a cute long sleeved shirt with a basketball on it.

Once were were done at Old Navy we went down to Target & I got some Diet Green Tea that's citrus flavored. Jenny had it at Port Crescent this past summer & it's very good so I decided to get some.

Once we were done at Target we headed to the Food Court. Barb, Hailey, Megan & Alex got some Taco Bell while I got french fries from Papa Z's. Mmm...french fries with vinegar & mayonaise. YUM!

When I got home from Barb's house I tried on my dress that I wore last year for the holiday party at work to see if it still fits & thankfully it does so I'm gonna wear it again next Saturday for this year's holiday party. I didn't spend $90 on it at Younker's last year to wear it once.

I'm eating good this week. Friday morning our managers are cooking breakfast for us for the employee appreciation/holiday breakfast at the staff meeting. Then Saturday is our holiday party at work. Mmm...filet mignon! Barb doesn't have to work next Saturday night so she's gonna be my biatch for the evening again. ;)

Right now I'm watching Days of Thunder. I love that movie! I'm about to go to bed because I've got a killer headache.
