Oh man, that's sad...20 positions between Tony & Elliott. My guys had a ROUGH day to say the least...well minus Tony that is.
Watched some of the race from grandma's house today. It was awesome watching the race with my family. I love watching the race with them because there is always so much smack talkin' going on. LOL! Uncle Kenny, Uncle John, Andy, Shane, Sam, Uncle Joe, Aunt Nita & I sat in the living room watching the race from Atlanta.
I was SO surprised to see Uncle Joe & Aunt Nita in from Vermont for the party. It was freakin' awesome that they flew in. Grandma was SO surprised by it all. And so very touched. The house was packed with people. Not only was it most of our family, but pretty much all of Aunt Louise & Uncle John's family too. God it's been forever since the Poulsens & Downeys have gathered somewhere together like that. We used to do it all the time for Thanksgiving & Christmas but the families have gotten too big for everyone to get together like that all the time. We did a 55 question test that was "How well do you know the birthday girl?" I knew quite a few of them simply from living with her except the ones from when she was a little girl. It was better than a roast. We were cracking up.
I could slap myself in the head. I brought my camera upstairs from the basement when I went up to watch the race. I set it down on the table next to the recliner where I was sitting & when it was time for mom & I to take Mackenzie home I forgot it. So it's probably still sitting on the table. Unless Grandma put it in my room. So needless to say, I don't have the pictures to download. DOH! I'm gonna have to borrow Mom's camera on Tuesday night when we take the kids trick-or-treating. We're probably just gonna go up to the mall. It's well lit & warm in there vs going out in the cold with the kids the night before they have to fly to Florida. So we were thinking about heading up to the mall around 5 pm to eat dinner in the food court before trick-or-treating starts at 6 pm. I still haven't decided what I'm gonna be. I'm gonna try on the Minnie & Mickey costumes to see how they look. Hopefully one of them fits because I wanna be one of them.
The family is all chipping in for Grandma's big present. Next summer we're all taking a long weekend to go up north camping for a Mackinac Island, Northern Michigan, casinos & Tahquamenon Falls trip. I can hardly wait, I've never been up there before. That's cool. Plus going across the Mackinac Bridge for the first time. Sweet!
