This morning
This morning mom & I woke up to no power. I got up at like 7 this morning to go potty & we had power. Then mom said around 10 am her CPAP machine knonked out on her so she got up & realized we had no power. Our subdivision has underground utilities so we're guessing something happened outside the subdivision to make us lose power. It was pretty darn windy this morning so it could've been anything from the wind to someone hitting a pole outside of the subdivsion.
So since we had no power I went back to bed for another 2 hours. LOL! Mom came knocking on my door around noon asking if she could take my car to the funeral she had to go to at 2 pm today. Her car was in the garage & we have an electric garage door opener. So I told her she could use it. The crappy thing about the new house is that our stove is electric, the fan on the furnace won't run without electricity & the hot water tank won't heat back up. So I got up & took my shower before the water in the hot water tank got cold.
It was maybe a little after 1 pm when the power came back on so now I don't have to worry about Barb coming out to get me when it comes time to go out tonight.
Barb talked to April on the phone earlier. I guess April was going up to the mall & wanted to double check & make sure we were still on for 5 o'clock tonight at Chili's. Hecky yeah we are! I can't wait! I'm gonna take my camera with me so I can take pictures of all us girls back together again!!! :D
I doubt I'm gonna be home for the race tonight so I set the VCR to tape it for me. Just hope we don't lose power again or I'll be S.O.L.
I told Barb I would probably come over around 3ish so I think I'm gonna go get some make up on, do something with my hair & get dressed since it's almost 3 right now.
