I hate August
I'm beginning to really hate the month of August.
Bad things seem to keep happening to people I love.
First Grandma falls & breaks her wrist & rib. (She had a doctor's appointment at 8:15 this morning over at Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe).
Second Aunt Susie threw her back out at work & missed a week of work.
Now it's Uncle Donnie. He went for his physical & it's been a few years since he had a stress test. So they set up an appointment to get one done & that was yesterday. While he was doing the stress test they didn't like the way his EKG looked so they took him from the medical building right next door to the admitting department of the hospital. Aunt Susie was telling me last night something about it having a dip in his heartbeat. So needless to say he has a catharization scheduled today for like 1 pm. If they don't find anything he'll get out of the hospital this evening & they will keep a close eye on him. If they find something & can do either a stint or angioplasty right then & there. Then they'll keep him til tomorrow night. Keeping my fingers crossed it's nothing serious. Last night Grandma & Aunt Susie went to go see him & he told them as of right now the plans for Labor Day weekend at his house are still on. That's until anything changes the plans.
It seems like the ones who never get sick or have any problems are the ones with issues right now. For once it's not me. It was me the past 2 years straight with both of my hip replacements. And it's always my mom with her Lupus (but she's doing really well right now) *knocks on wood*
