So as I was sitting in church this morning I decided, God's probably pretty pissed at how much Bible's cost. I mean, if you think about it, we should really be handing them out for free. I got a bible with my name engraved on it for graduating 8th grade. The highlight of it all was going out for Ice Cream.

I got a nice Bible when I was confirmed, I just don't see the spiritual justification for it's hefty price tag.

It both the Catholic and Lutheran church kids, around 10 years old or so, go through a two-year education of the Bible, the religion, the sacraments, etc. At the end of those two years, they "graduate" or get confirmed. In the Lutheran church, you can't partake in communion unless you've been confirmed. I think, though I'm not sure, that in the Catholic church, one can actually have their first communion before being confirmed...don't quote me on that though...that last time I was Catholic I wasn't, so I don't remember much. :O)

hahahahaha what do you mean the last time you were catholic? That sounds like you're on and off catholic. On leap years with an odd number you're catholic the rest of the time you're lutheran
