Mine, Mine, all MINE! Buhahaha *trying to outrun the men with hug-yourself-jakcets and nets*

“Hey, Man. How was the conference?” asked Warrick when he saw Nick in the locker room. “Meet any Hotties?”

“Huh?” he looked up at Warrick’s expectant grin. “Oh yeah man. Sure. Lots!”

“Tell me about it over breakfast? I gotta get to a scene,” he said slamming his locker door.

“Sure,” said Nick. But I won’t tell you about the one that got away.

Sara was driving and Greg was looking out the window. They were on their way from a crime scene. “Sooo… how was the conference?”

“Fine,” Greg all but sighed.

“Learn anything new?” she asked.

About Nick, The Ladies’ Man? No.

“Yeah,” sighed Greg. “I took some notes. I’ll make you a copy. Oh, and I got you some books.”

“Great,” she smiled. “Thanks.”

“Not a problem.”

“How ‘bout breakfast before we head in, since we missed lunch break?”

“Yeah. Sounds good.” said Greg even though he didn’t want to eat he knew Sara was hungry.

Sara and Greg were eating at Charlie’s 24/7 when Nick and Warrick came in.

Sara saw them first.

“Hey, guys, over here,” Sara called. That’s when Greg saw them. He suppressed a groan and pasted on a fake smile.

Sara slid over and Nick sat beside her, leaving Warrick to sit beside Greg. Greg wondered how he was gonna eat any more with Nick right there. Nick would flirt with Sara and the waitress and…okay, he needed to stop that thought right there.

After they sat down and ordered, Warrick grinned at Nick “Okay, so… tell me *all* about the Hotties in Atlanta.”

Greg seriously didn’t want to hear this, but short of climbing over Warrick to get out of the booth, he was stuck.

“Uh, I’m sure Sara doesn’t want…” said Nick blushing.

Sara bumped his arm with her elbow. “Oh, don‘t mind me, Nick. Do tell.” she grinned.

Greg bit his tongue.

“Uh, yeah. Okay,” sighed Nick blushing. He really didn’t want to talk about this in front of Greg but he couldn’t figure out a way to stop it so he plunged in.

“There was the blonde Lori who sat beside me and, get this… wanted Grissom’s email addy!”

Warrick and Greg laughed and Sara narrowed her eyes. “Did you give it to her?”

“Uh, yeah… oh, sorry Sara. I’m sure it was just about work. She mentioned bugs a lot,” Nick trailed off.

“Yeah,” said Sara twirling her fork in her salad.

“Anyway, then there was this red-head name Cheryl. She smelled like… strawberries. Mmm”

“So, you gotta kink for strawberries, huh?” Warrick teased.

Nick ignored that and said, “Then there was this leggy brunette name Katie I met in a club…”

“Yeah?” said Sara.

“Yeah, Man, she was hot. But I don’t kiss and tell, so…” he shrugged.

“Oh man. That’s cruel,” said Warrick. “How about you, Greg? Meet anyone?”

“Yeah, a few. Susan, impossibility cute. Gave me her email *and* snail mail… for me, not Grissom.” Greg pointed his fork at Nick.

Warrick and Sara laughed. Nick blushed.

“Then there was Paul. He has beautiful eyes. They change from green to blue and back depending on his mood. And then there was a blonde named Pam. Really nice… Ummm…smile?” said Greg pointing to his chest. Oh, and Thomas… really nice… umm bottom…”

Nick wondered if he talked about men like Greg did would Warrick and Sara accept him the same way they accepted Greg. He doubted it. After all, Greg was special.

Everyone laughed. Sara said “You seriously want us to believe you… and all these people…”

“Ask Nick. He was there.” said Greg smugly. He took a sip of coffee and then continued, “There was David at the pool. Man he was hot. He and his girlfriend Donna.. Wow. What a tag team.”

Everyone laughed and Sara said “Greg, you are totally making that up.”

“Nope. Honest,” said Greg holding up three fingers in a Boy Scout salute.

“Like you were a Boy Scout.” Sara snorted.

“Yep. Haven’t you noticed I’m always prepared.” Greg wiggled his eye brows and grinned toward Sara. She laughed and said, “Down, Boy.”

“Then there was Katie from a club….”

“Wait, did you said *Katie* from a club…” Warrick asked then turned to Nick. “Didn’t you mention a Katie from a club?”

Sara said, “Yeah, was it the same club?”

Nick got the deer-in-the-headlights look. Greg just looked at his food and shrugged.

Sara teased “Just how close *were* you and Greg out there in Atlanta?”

“Not *that* close.” said Nick getting up. Greg froze. He just knew if he breathed it would be a sob.

Sara quickly reached for Nick’s hand. “Look, I’m sorry… I know you‘re not into Greg….”

“Forget it. No biggie.” said Nick. “’M just tired. Gonna head home.”

“Yeah, me too,” said Warrick sliding out of the booth behind Nick.

“Yeah,” said Sara sliding out of the booth too. “We gotta run some samples in… Later, guys.”

In the car Sara apologized to Greg. “For what?” he asked.

“For teasing you and Nick about… you know.”

Greg just shrugged. “It’s okay. Like you said he would never notice me…” Greg gulped aloud when he realized what he had said.

Sara glanced over at him. “Oh my god! That’s it! That’s why you have been so weird the last few months. I can’t believe I didn’t see it before!”

“See what? There is nothing to see!” Greg felt on the verge of a panic.

Sara glanced at him again. “Whoa, Greg. Don’t worry. I wont tell anyone. Okay? Calm down. You’re a white as a sheet.”

“Sheets come in many colors.”

“What? Oh, no, you are *not* gonna distract me from this! How long?”

Greg slumped down in his seat. “You’re not gonna let this go, huh?”

“Nope,” Sara grinned.

Greg sighed. “You see, it all started over a new video game I bought…”
