Now what am I gonna do on Monday nights??

To anyone who enjoyed The Class: my deepest apologies. I *swear*, I thought it was safe! They won a freaking People's Choice Award! I had this crazy idea that networks LIKED shows that won awards!

To anyone who enjoyed The Dresden Files: yeah, I probably screwed that up, too. *sigh*

So in this little reflection, I make allusions to Farscape, Buffy, Harry Potter, psychoanalysis, and Eeyore. Hi, I'm a geek.

Okay, maybe I'm just stupid, but. I don't get it. Maybe I'm not supposed to. Momma points out that Peter would survive being The Bomb. So why wouldn't he survive being The Bomb In Space? There's also the question of why he didn't fly himself there, since he does have that power, but with the whole "must redeem Nathan" factor, I can accept a "he's too freaked out to concentrate enough to do it" solution.

So, to paraphrase Nikki, what happens to them? Hiro zaps himself back to long-ago Japan, where I'm guessing he either winds up being the Hero-dude (Kensei?), which I suspected waaaaay back when, or Ando is actually Hero-dude. Okay, so that's at least how we're going to start Volume 2.

The others. Even if Nathan dumped Peter, he got enough radiation to do himself in, a la TalynJohn. *moment of silence for Flying Man* Peter could technically survive, and if he doesn't, I'll be pissed. Parkman, well, he could go either way - five shots to the abdomen? He was looking pretty perky. DL, same thing. All the rest - what happens to them? We've got Molly's Badder-Than-the-Boogeyman dude (aka BTtB), which I'm guessing will be a focus of next season. But who will they bring back to deal with it? Or will they at all? It's very Buffy-like in that one season is actually resolved before they move on to the next, but I'm wondering how much of a cast/character exchange they're going to do. Which makes me wary.

I'm guessing Sylar is alive, or his powers are, mainly because of the cockroach on the manhole cover. No, I don't think he transfigured himself into a bug - I'm going with the whole "cockroaches after a nuclear war" angle. I don't know if he dragged himself off, or if Something Else did. Maybe it was BTtB, who can suck powers off others, too. And it looked like the blood was very artfully arranged, but I'm not good at seeing stuff like that. It kinda looked like a lion/werewolf-y type thing to me, but if I ever took a Rorschach test, they'd cart me off to the loony bin, so I'm probably waaaaay off base.

And. Is there EVER any day and time when a big ol' plaza in New York City is completely deserted??

So I really did enjoy it, I'm just apprehensive about where they're going to take it, which is kinda the raincloud hanging over me at the moment.

Jack! WOOBIE!!

Okay, so the basic reason I watched any of this season was for Jack & Audrey. I'm highly pissed they seem to be ditching that relationship. Personally, I thought a good "sweeping change" for S7 would have been Jack rescuing Audrey from China, but that got nixed quite a few 'hours' ago. But still. *frustrated sigh*

And, I totally called Chloe being pregnant from the previews last week. That, at least, will make for a fun storyline. I'll probably watch the first four hours just to see what happens, but overall, I'm perilously close to bailing. Even though Kiefer just gets prettier with age.

24, heroes, tv
