Getting my game on

Mar 02, 2003 22:49

Last night I reluctantly agreed to play yet more bridge this weekend with Jeff. This week's Sunday afternoon game turned out to be a club championship. Today also marks the day when Jeff and I started playing transfer after no trump openings. (I think he got tired of people wondering why he didn't play them.) Completely coincidentally, we scored 58.27% of the matchpoints, good enough for second place in flight A, first in B, and 1.34 masterpoints. W00t! (Neither of us bid a transfer once.)

I played some more Counter-strike, too. I'm getting a bit better, I guess. Highlights include taking our four people with a scout in militia and completing a bombing mission alone in inferno against at least three CTs. (After they had annihilated the rest of my team, I had to pick up the bomb and run across the entire map. I killed two of them as they came to defuse the bomb.)

I also played some more DDR. Whenever I play by myself, the game seems to be much harsher w.r.t. the life meter than when I play versus with friends. On the other hand, I full-combo'ed a song for the first time in recent memory.

Needless to say, I accomplished nothing productive.

P.S. Futurama kicks ass.
