So, I am trying to get a little back to the normality of life after the change of Maria showing up in my world again. And it turns out while she was at home, she broke up with her boyfriend. And alas, [crescendo in cheesy romance music] we are together again. And this time together for real. But at the risk of sounding too cheesy I'll just say it is pretty fucking cool. But of course logistics, situations, feelings and stuff (like as always in love and soap operas) are making it interesting. The coolest parts are how well we are able to communicate despite having two different madrelengues and coming from substantially different cultures and therefore how close we have gotten because of it. The worst parts are realizing that neither of us are actually living in reality and who the hell knows what will happen once we both return to earth. Let's hope we come down together instead of only one of us, and thus leaving the other up in the clouds trying to figure what could have gone wrong up in heaven. But right, enough cheese. Who out there knows about getting involved with someone just recently off of a 5-year relationship?? Anyone? Give me some advice. I'm screwed, right?
Anyway, in other news, I went and kicked it with some crazy fucking italian kids up at lake como this weekend. It was a sweet party and good to be speaking and hearing only italian for a change. That group, called the "gang", is pretty fun. I wish that I lived closer to where they all live in Milan. Hope to go skiing with some of them in the upcoming weeks.
The final thing in my life is.....I am going to get a job. yep. on my way. the idea is to give private english lessons to high school and university students. one of my italian friends said I can easily charge 20 euros an hour (almost $20). you better believe it. I already made the flyers and everything. just need to post them and wait by the phone. Yeah baby! maybe I should get a receptionist to answer all those calls, though. That fucker is probably going to be ringing off the hook. Am I ready to handle that kind of an organizational task?? That's not to mention what the hell am I going to do once I do get a student. "oh yeah, madrelingue enlish. sure you'll make tons of money," my italian friend said. Alright, I say. Bring it on!!
