Tokyo 2012 Day 7
Day 7
Decided that I'll go to Asakusa and Imadou jinja today. Well, mainly Imadou Jinja since Nyanko-sensei is there XD;;
The usual ritual, I took the train to Asakusa station. Kaminarimon is easy to find though XD
Walk past Kaminarimon there's a stretch of gift shops and Japanese titbits that you can buy. I picked up some souvenir for my brother here. There's a lot of tourist, and also students on their school trip.
Walking along the way, and there's Sensouji.
I didn't walk too far from the area, that's why I only realize that the Hanayashiki amusement park is just a few blocks away orz Darn I feel like stalking =__=

Of course, my destination Imadou Jinja. Failed to read the map, I make decision to ask for directions again ^^;; The police pointed to me to go to the tourist information centre just opposite Kaminarimon. After I got the directions, off I go to Imadou Jinja. Thanks to the old gentleman at the tourist information centre who gave me directions XD
Well, it was farther than I thought so. The further I walked the less people I saw ^^;; Along the way I can see Tokyo Sky Tree.
Come to think of it, kinda regretted for not go to Tokyo Sky Tree, well, I can just hope for next time then.
I can see Sumida River too, but anyway, after a long walk, here I am, Imadou Jinja!
It's famous for en musubi but not forgetting their maneki-neko as well XD

Then there's an obasan asking me if I was there to see nyanko-sensei XD;; I said yes and told her I came from Malaysia, she was quite surprise and said a lot of ppl came to see nyanko-sensei and the foreigners can speak Japanese so well ^^;;
After I walk back to the station, I spotted Coco Ichiban-ya, Okki's favourite :P Since it's nearly lunch time, I had my lunch there XD And you have to add money for extra spicy ^^;; I ordered a 2-kara and yes, I can taste the spiciness :P The normal portion of rice is enough even for me, I can't imagine how Okki can finish the 1.2kg portion orz
After Asakusa and lunch, it's still early, so I took the train again, this time to Akihabara!
I looked for Animate which was lucky I can find it without much trouble. I grabbed the Voice Animage Winter that released that day. Heard from my friend that the issue was sold out in Animate Ikebukuro... I guess here got more otaku so I can still buy the magazine orz Bought some more stuff in Animate then I stroll down the road of Akiba. Didn't actually go in anymore shops scared to spend more money >__<
Gundam Cafe and AKB48 cafe just beside Akiba station XD
After a not so adventurous tour, I went back to Ikebukuro. My packages of HiroC's CD were waiting for me at the hotel receptionist :P I went out to get KFC that night for dinner (KFC of all things! orz)
My night ends with more time spent at the cafe for internet... =__=
