Day 5!
Ushikuru? Iku! Iku! XDDD
Yosh! Finally it's Ushiku repo XDDD Actually, the sky on that morning was not really promising thanks yo raining the whole day the day before orz But at least it was not raining. I woke up a bit early so that I can at least get to the station before or by 9am. This was so I won't got stranded in Ushiku since the buses frequency from the Ushiku Daibutsu to Ushiku Station were very limited.
Of course I was still worried when walking to the station because the sky show no sign of sunny day anytime soon. But I got no time to loose because I got train and buses to catch.
This will show how many stations I have to pass to get to Ushiku. First I have to take the Yamanote sen (山手線),interchange at Nippori Station (日暮里駅)to Jouban sen (常磐線)
The Yamanote sen stations~
Then the Jouban sen orz
From Ikebukuro to Nippori there's no problem because Yamanote sen is one of the most straight forward train line IMO. And so at Nippori interchange I take one of the train to Ushiku. Sky I saw from the train was still not too good, at that time I can just hope no raining please orz
Also one thing, the train I took showed different station that T chan showed me.... being a looser at heart, I decided to get down in one of the station in between and took the train that wrote Ushiku houkou... ^__^;;; Don't look at me like that! At least I make it to Ushiku >__<
After almost an hour later, finally I was in Ushiku!!
The usual, make the wrong turn to the wrong bus stop, have to go back to the other side XD;;;
The sign at the bus stop XD 牛久浄苑(大仏)~~
The bus came after a little waiting, and there was this black guy and a Eurasian guy came on the bus too, I forgot what the black guy asked and of course I answered I'm not local, not even Japanese :P We talk a little then I remembered I need to ask the driver how much it cost to avoid any problem. The ride will cost me 680yen. I said I don't have enough small change and he showed me that I can change my 1000yen note to small change with the machine beside him XD Why Malaysia don't have this kind of money changing machine!!! >__<
And so I like a kampung girl, began my bus tour in Ushiku :P
Ibaraki's mascot XD
The bus will announce the next stop so you know when to press the bell, again Why Malaysia! >.>;;
After a little more than half an hour, I'm here!!!
Daibutsu-sama!!
Walking passed the omiyage stores to reached the ticket counter. Oh yeah, the sky starts to turn blue and it starts to look like a fine day of outing after all XD The lady at the counter also said what a fine day right? I said I was worried of raining since it rained yesterday but come to think of it, it's hare-otoko's hometown, he got to show something, hahaha...
The guide map at the entrance.
A smaller replica of the daibutsu's head.
Guinness World Record proof.
Looks familiar? XDD
Daibutsu-sama stood majestically >__<
Under the feet of Daibutsu-sama.
Oh yeah, to go into the Buddha statue you need to buy ticket, at the entrance they will ask you if you would like to go into the statue because the price is different if you don't want to go in.
Real scale Daibutsu toe XD
In one of the room it was filled with these golden Buddha statue.
The Daibutsu is 120m tall makes it the tallest bronze standing Buddha in the world. You are suppose to be able to see the Sky Tree in Tokyo inside of the statue but there was mist and fog, zannen I can't see any further. One thing, when we went up using the lift, it actually all in dark! no light at all, no wonder the OnoD expression in the Ushiku DVD XDDDD
After came out of the Daibutsu, next destination of course was the zoo beside :P
usausausausausausausa.... You get to feed the rabbits here XDD So kawaii!! >__<
After the zoo, I had lunch at the restaurant just outside of the entrance, also first time eating lunch with ticket machine :P I had kare- raisu~~ Then of course I bought some omiyage before heading out to wait for the bus. here's one last pic I took from outside the ground.
The bus was really on time, before long I took the bus back to the station. It was barely 1pm, was thinking I should go to Chateau Kamiya because I don't have any faint idea where it head to, but then, I already there, oh hell I just trust my luck and walk roughly where the board says.... I'm not sure if I was scared that time but I kept walking and walking and walking... and bingo! I was on the right track! I saw the kanban!
But too bad the main Chateau was closed for renovation orz
I just went in the gift shop to get some stuff and start walking back to the station since there nothing more I can do here.
Back to the station I decide to buy some buns for dinner later. The journey back was smooth and without incident, of course not raining XD
I didn't go out later that night, just resting and online. Come to think of it I might just go out and walk around the area, well, it's over now, no point thinking :P
And that wraps up day 5! Day 6 I hope to get it done soon too before I forget more orz
