Diving back into Davis

The last week was so much fun-- bridesmaiding at Caellin and Jacob's BEAUTIFUL wedding in Carmel, visiting friends in SLO for a few days . . . we made a massive dinner Tuesday night, the girls served the boys. It was so much fun! Loaded-up Indian curry, rice, nan bread, Chinese tomato and egg, greek salad, homemade lemonade, cheesecakes with lemon curd, and chocolate toffee cake . . . all from scratch! AND we hiked Bishop's Peak that morning, which was SO COOL. I love how towards the top, it was more like a climb than a hike. It was rocky, and you got to use your hands. It was insanely hot, but at the top we sat under/inside rocks and enjoyed a PBJ picnic. The view was beautiful; it looked like Google Satellite! Haha!

Christina housed me 2 nights. She and her roommate, Korin are a blast. We did a lot of Karaoke Revolution. Wednesday night, I went over to Padilla's (which also happens to be Lindsay Ringer's), and she made dinner for a bunch of us. Andrew, Kristen, Padilla and I (Santa Monica 2004) enjoyed a bomb dinner and caught up. It was really great.

I was sad to leave SLO because I felt like it was just a tease of a visit, but I love Davis. I just returned today, and I've been loving every minute of it.

I got a sandwich from the Nugget for dinner. It was free thanks to a gift card from my boss.

I got 2 kinds of trail mix from the Davis Co-op.

I'm going to watch a synchronized swimming show pretty soon.

I saw a flyer for free movies in the park. Coming up: Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, and The Sound of Music.

Masters swim practice tomorrow, followed by Farmers Market with my roommate, Heidi.

It's good to be home.
