so the weekend was good, besides the fact that i started to kinda icky on thursday. my throat was kinda raw but i thought that it was just my allergies, so i didnt really think anything of it. then i went to the movies with christine in the afternoon. we saw the forgotten (for free since christine got this promotional card when she did an appearance in the spring, so that was awesome). I liked it, but christine didnt - she said that it was good that we didnt pay to see it. but i thought it was good - wasnt the greatest movie - but i like julianne moore and it was sorta six sense-ish. anyway, so i was feeling fine, until we got to work and i started to feel sorta congested and just very listless - like had no energy or want to be at work. and christine didnt feel that great either so the both of us were just a barrel of fun. i didnt go into work early on saturday since i didnt want to push myself since i wasnt feel great (plus i dont think that i could get outta bed even if i tried). but i slept like shit anyway friday night since i was so congested - i hate sleeping with my mouth open at night, so i was waking up every other hour - it sucked. so i took a shower before work on saturday and that sorta helped for about an hour or so, then at work i was blowing my nose every 4 minutes practically. i still dont think that its a cold - i seem to get sick at the start of every spring and start of fall. i guess its a combo between my horrible allergies and the change of season.
so work was ok - nothing too crazy since it was saturday, and then i just went home and didnt do much since i wasnt feeling great and i really didnt want to go out anyway.
then sunday i went to my riding lesson - which is now earlier, i guess because of the instructor that is either filling in until they find someone new to replace audrey, or to take over the lessons. all i know is that she used to work there and was going to be teaching audrey's lessons. ends up i actually like going earlier in the day since the trip isnt as crazy filled with traffic and i have pretty much the rest of the day free. so my new instructor turned out to be really really awesome. her name is Beth, and shes probably in her mid to late 30s, so she has experience and knows what shes talking about. she actually helped me out alot by telling me to do a minor thing or two a little differently to make it easier to balance and control. and i was like - wow that is so much better! and easier! and she said that i did really well - she was impressed that i had only been riding english style for about 2 months and my trot looked really good. so shes cool. plus i rode a horse that i hadnt ridden before - and he is grumpy and stubborn and isnt exactly the most congenial towards other horses. but after finding out to show him that im the boss, he behaved pretty well. so that was cool to feel that i was not only doing well, but was able to do it on a cranky horse i had never ridden. after my lesson and battling ridiculous traffic on the gsp, i met up with stoo and c. and we were very disappointed (at the least) that cafe e was closed. stoo and i had just been there about 4 weeks earlier and they were open. so instead we went around the corner to this cafe of some sort and got smoothies. and as we were heading back to our cars, cafe e had just opened!! we were so pist - but still went in and i was so full from my smoothie and i didnt feel like dealing with an upset tummy later, i didnt get my vanilla chai :( but its cool, cause im sure that we'll go back soon. :)
then i got home and my mom and i went to the gap since i asked her earlier in the week if we could go since i needed a new coat for the winter and i wanted to get some cords that i liked (and was surprised that they fit me since i dont really like gap jeans/pants at all since they have never fit me well or the cut is just wierd) but anyway, these cords fit me well, so i got two pairs of those, a black cord peacoat (which my mom wasnt exactly trilled about but shes not the one wearing it so whatever, a sweater, a longsleeved tee, and a black belt and a brown one. i think thats it. but i was happy, because i got some clothes for the up coming winter months and well none of my clothes, except sweaters and shirts, really fit me anymore. i also want to get these boots that i saw in the city. they are waterproof, durable and not all ugly and huge snow boat looking, but will be good for walking to work in the winter. i wish i could get them now since its still early and they had my size, and im sure the closer to winter it gets they are going to sell out, but they are $100 and thats money i dont have, so i guess ill just have to wait. i can also order them online too - since i think thats where i first saw them anyway. but i digress.
then today, i had to get up at ass-o'clock since we were having a meeting with all the jocks and main staff at work to get introduced to the new fall promotional contest we are having. its sorta wierd and a little complicated since everyone left there kinda like umm ok, but oh well, it should hopefully run well... we think. and whats kinda good about coming in early is that i dont have to come into work later! yea! i still hope that im getting paid for today. :
oh well, i should run since im still still in the city and I should catch a train home before rush hour starts.
Oh, and lets hope that Kevin brown just needs alittle more rest and practice, cause if he aint pitching well in about a week or two, someone is gonna punch him for him punching that damn wall… what a douche.
