the weekend was good...can't say that the week started out as good...

this weekend was fun overall. id rate it B+/A- (however you like to see it, since i consider them pretty much one in the same). but anyway, this is how the weekend played out:

Friday I went with Christine to the Museum of Natural History. It was fun - I hadn't been there since I was probably 10 or 12, so it was cool to see all the dinosaur fossils and all the displays -- and I totally forgot about the GIGANTIC blue whale that is the center of the Ocean and Marine Life section and hangs from practically nothing... that thing is insanely huge...then since we really covered the sections we went to see in about an hour or so, we went over towards the planetarium-space section. We looked around and then thought that we should check out to see what times any shows were showing in the planetarium...so we saw that there was one called "Passport to the Universe" and it wasn't that late (since we had to go to work later) but we would have time to eat before the show. So we went to Columbus Circle to get food, and then came back and saw the show. I don't think that I had been in the Planetarium (before or after renovation) at the Natural History Museum, but this was soooo awesome. First of all, the narrator was Tom Hanks, so that just made it that much cooler - then the show itself was just awesome... i couldve sat there all day - it was nice and dark with pretty lights and colors... it was like oooooo-ahhhhh...
(thats something im DEFINITELY going to have go back and see when im high) :) :)
but then we just hung out for awhile after that at her apt before we went to work...

Saturday It was supposed to be my first Saturday that I go in early and work from 9-7 since it was the first Saturday night I was off in about over a year, but I sorta overslept and didnt go in until the time I normally have, which is around 1ish... but Joey really didnt mind, esp since he's been doing that shift by himself for as long as I think that he's had that shift. So, I just worked with Jason (since Race was away for the weekend) and then got off at 7pm, came home, changed and then left for NJ. I found out before I left from work that we actaully weren't going to Hoboken, but instead just just going to C's place on campus since she was having a party of some sort. So, I get there and it was sooo GREAT to see C since I hadnt seen her in like 8 months or something like that, and then I met her roommate and some other friends, and then somehow, she disappeared for awhile, and well, besides the fact that I felt really old at times (some kid was like 'what school do you go to?' and i was like 'i dont - i graduated 2 years ago') it was fun. i got rave reviews for my pina coladas (which i was very happy i got to have - thanks C and stoo) but the highlight was prob this one kid who was pretty gone - he was singing and playing air-everything and making instrument-type sounds and he was just randomly speaking... it was quite entertaining...but i was like this isnt my scene anymore... i think thats why i also felt alittle left out (besides the fact that i was like one of the oldest people there) so i was like im going home to sleep in my own bed...so it ended up being an earlier night then planned but i think that it was for the best...

Sunday I went riding (for the first time in 2 weeks) and FINALLY got the whole deposit thing straightened out (i just said fuck it - im gonna just take one for the team) but i found out that my instructor is MOVING TO PA! i was like NOOO! it was her last sunday teaching, since shes moving to PA to train with an Olympic Rider - im so sad but at the same time really happy for her that shes going to be able to do that - hopefully in 4 years ill be able to watch the olympics and say "hey! i took lessons from her! i know her!" but i was disappointed at myself yesterday cause i royally SUCKED ASS - but i think that its because i hadnt ridden in almost 3 weeks and she said "its true, you can lose it so fast - even its only for one week - its just like anything else , the more you do it, the better you get at it." i think that until they find someone else thats going to replace her, the other instructors are going to take her lessons i guess... i just hope that i get someone just as nice and that i like... i mean she was a great instructor and new what she was talking about but not harsh or demanding... oh well - i digress...
then i went with Matt to see a show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in the city...and it was good! it was only 8 bucks and it was basically an hour and a half or improv skits with about 5 or 6 actors - a few of them from comedy central various things, and then seth meyers, formerly from snl and i was like 'i know him! i was an intern when he was on the show!' and then i saw my friend alison who i havent seen in about 4 or 5 years... i thought that she was working there, but i didnt know if i was going to see her or not - but we were talking a bit and i got her # and hopefully we are gonna hang out soon, since she lives in astoria now and is in the city all the time... so all in all it was a good night...

but i guess after having a great weekend... i shouldve just expected that it wouldnt last forever...
i would go on, but im kinda wearing down... ill explain about today tomorrow (?)

yea - i know - im talking out of my ass now

its nighty nite time for me...

sidenote: Yanks take 2 out of 3 against the BoSox and TOTALLY give pedro the ass-whoopin he deserves... you come to the bronx and we bust a cap in your ass!
