She chuckled. "I never said it made sense. I don't know, I guess I just wonder if I'm missing out on something, being away so much."

Aryn shrugged and took another bite. "Only way to know for sure is to stay home for a while."

"I hear ya. I swore I'd never let myself ride desk duty again, so I make sure t' be careful and *not* injure myself," Nick joked with her. "I think I'd go so insane, I'd actually be caught up on my paperwork!"

Aryn took another bite and smirked. "You might lose your title as King of Procrastination. And we couldn't have that."

"Exactly! Then I'd have t' go and get myself a new nickname," he remarked, mirroring her smirk.

She grinned. "Uh huh, and then what would people call you? It'd be totally confusing."

"Exactly, that's my point exactly," Nick replied, still smiling. It was crazy just how much he'd been smiling with her. "I'd be, like... Mr. Crowdphobic or some silly such thing."

"Oooh, yeah. King of Procrastination, definitely a better nick name." She smirked. "Pun totally intended."

"But better nickname than that is Tink. Just not fer me. I don't think I'd look good in a little green dress," Nick quipped, grinning.

Aryn laughed, teasing. "Oh, I don't know...green's definitely your color."

She took a forkful of coleslaw and shrugged, rolling her eyes. "And I'll take Tink over Goldilocks any day. God, I'm never gonna live that down."

"And here I thought my color was blue," he deadpanned with a grin. "I can honestly say that blue's gotta be yer color though. So not sure 'bout the whole Tink thin'."

She glanced over at him and smiled. God, that grin. And those eyes... She bit back a sigh she was sure would've made her sound like a dreamy-eyed preteen.

'Jesus, Aryn, get a grip. Before you end up making a total idiot of yourself. Assuming you haven't already.'

"Blue, huh? That's funny, people have always told me my color's red. Either way, I guess Tink doesn't work. So that leaves me with...what...?"

"Little Bo Peep or Red Riding Hood?" Nick replied, holding back an outright grin.

"Okay, I could maybe live with Red Riding Hood, but Little Bo Peep?" She laughed. "How'd we get to Little Bo Peep?"

Nick grinned. Damn, she lit up when she smiled. "I dunno. She seems like the type t' have a blue cape."
