Ever notice how I never have anything positive to say?

I find it quite frustrating that I find it frustrating when people with their trendy talentless pop music taste look down on me because I prefer music that is intelligent, well-written, and clever. You know, music by people that actually seem to have read a book or two in their life, and seem to understand poetic and lyric structure. (That's lyric in the literary sense, not necessarily meaning the words of a song, but rather the flow of the sound of the words - because I'm too lazy to give a better definition and I doubt anyone cares that much.)

But I digress. The point is, I should not be frustrated by this. I'm obviously a higher life form and need not bother myself with such trivialities.

JK. Kinda.

The real point is, it doesn't really matter what you like. You have your reasons for it, whatever they may be, and it should be respected, if not necessarily shared. I USUALLY don't attack your crap music taste without provocation, I would really appreciate the same respect. Music taste, like religious and political views is a subject much to personal to have to defend.

rant, prejudice, music
