The one in the picture is a glossy, high energy, affectionate, curious treasure. I don't know that Lyra would be at all happy with out her. Initially of course I discouraged the dogs from chasing her, but since then Zoe can't be bothered and Amelia chases Lyra as much, if not more than Lyra chases her. I know there is no fear involved as Amelia will periodically flop over in the middle of the floor in front of the puppy and or decide to stop play and simply stroll on her way. She continues to destroy my bedroom and the living room stairs but that's ok. The bedroom isn't on display for anyone, the stairs will ultimately be recarpeted and I have plans for additional catification of the house.
Peepsley has decided that he needs adult time. He will play a bit with Amelia but for the most part spends his days lounging about the house. Every evening he climbs on my chest for 15-20 minutes of uninterrupted attention. I have to use both hands to pet him or else I'll get *THE PAW* I'm keeping tabs on the new food. I'm not sure how well it is doing for him though I honestly think it's the wet not the dry that is causing him some occasional upheaval.
Zoe continues to recover. She is cleared for short walks so we are doing 10 mins every other day and moving up from there. She has acclimated to spending her days in the kitchen with Lyra and her evenings on the bed with me. I do let her walk down the stairs every morning as the vet said that was ok, but I carry her up every night. Her recent illness I suspect stemmed from a fallen raisin. A few days of chicken and rice and she is back on track.
Bun is ridiculous and cheerful. I need to get with the obedience program as I've spoiled her rotton and she takes too many liberties with guests. She also needs more to do with her day besides hang out with Zoe in the kitchen and play tag with Amelia at 6am. I also get nervous anytime she is in the backyard. I may be out there with her but now that Zoe is beside me on a leash I'm even slower to the rescue in case a hawk, possum, coyote ventures into the yard.
