prepare ye the way

Godspell went really well.
its hard to open on a matinee, especially to a bunch of old people who probably wont get the improv,
but it was still a blast. and I'm so proud of what we have produced.
all my family came, and so did nates family, and joe, which was really nice.
and my fam thought it was hilarious which made me happy.

afterwards we went STRAIGHT to white plains where we saw jen's version of footloose
which was definitely cute.
its so weird to look at high school theater any other place besides nyack.
its like ive been doing college or even MORE for the past 6 years.
i think i experienced "high school" musicals in middle school.
and I'm SO thankful for that.

I'm also slowly but surely starting to realize that i AM talented.
I constantly question my abilities mostly because I compare myself to others.
I feel strongly in my acting, but when it comes to singing and dancing I'm often second best.
But honestly, my voice is NOT cristina farruggias (even though i wish it was sometimes)
I have my own sound, my own tone.
sometimes it works with certain music genres and sometimes it doesnt.
but i can do it. i have tonation. and i have the skills. its just a matter of being prepared to use them.

ANYWAYS. it was and good but hectic and tiring day.
I cant wait for my friends to see me in the show.
and im exicted for these upcoming weeks.
xoxo nicole
