So it's been over a month since my last update. I've pretty much decided that I suck at keeping a journal. Oh well, I'll take it as a good thing that I'm too busy with work and spending time with Tony to find a few minutes to update this (in all honesty, it's mostly forgetfulness).
Tony has been living here since May, and I absolutely love having him around. The only downside is that he's still job searching, because Bismarck isn't exactly the best place to find a job in marketing right now. I really do feel guilty that he moved here to be with me and he's struggling to find a good job because of it, but I'm not sure what it would have done to our relationship if he would've stayed in Minnesota. I know we're strong, and we'd give it a good try, but things would probably get strained if we knew we had to be 500 miles apart for two or three years... He chose in favor of us, and I'm incredibly grateful - it's so wonderful to come home to him. (Side note: on July 1st, it'll be our three and a half year dating anniversary!)
In other news, my family is doing alright - Mom and Dad are hanging in there, my brother is in Alabama for National Guard officer training (he's going to be a lieutenant), and Lucky is doing okay. This weekend is the 4th, so Tony and I are headed to the cabin on Thursday night to meet up with Dad and Grandma Kunkel. The following weekend is Tony's friend's wedding; he's an usher, so we get to be there for everything. I don't think I'll know many people - hopefully I'll have a good time anyway.
Not much else going on; work is still going well, and field season is in full swing, so I'm getting to spend some much-needed time outdoors again. The asbestos abatement for the 4th (my floor) and 5th (heating/cooling equip., etc.) floors in the DOT building is set to begin next month, so the people on 4th will be moving to a temporary location downtown starting the week after next. It'll be interesting to see how smoothly it goes... We'll be staying there 'til early spring sometime, when we'll move back to a completely new floor in the DOT building (because of the asbestos, everything has to go, which leaves it open to creating a new floor plan - yay). I think it's going to be pretty exciting.
I guess that's all I've got for the moment...adios!
