RBI day yesterday...
So I only had a half an hour with Eli yesterday after work, so my plan was to sit on him bareback while he grazed, just to change it up for him. He went quite introverted, not rigid and RB, but still and not wanting to go anywhere, and certainly not eating. I gave him a cookie after about 10 minutes of sitting still, to see if it'd help him come back, and he started blinking, and then yawned about 5 times! I helped him move his mouth with the cookie and it triggered all this adrenaline release....very interesting.
I did some passenger and playing with minimal rein direct reins, really playing with responding to my legs--he did very well when I was actually moving with him and flexing my body in the right way. I have lots of fluidity to learn judging by the ruffles...
Just interesting to have my extrovert switch on me--I think BB has that effect on him. He's much less impulsive, but no more confident--he freezes.
Can't wait until he's done shedding out...he's looking so much better--shinier, more muscled, and less of a belly. Just in time for me to leave...
That's all I have for now...we get off at 4 today so I'll have more time with him!
