(For everyone else, I met Indigo on Dark Wine & Roses playing Zander who was an Highlander-style immortal, seventeen and prone to temporarily fatal aneurisms. Not a happy trait for an immortal.)

::an origami duck floats down trapped impossibly in a soap bubble. When it pops, the note unfolds. And in childlike but pretty script, it reads::

Hi, Zander:

Been awhile, huh? Whatcha been up to?

The return response is wrapped in wax paper, on which has been portrayed a realistic flock of ducks migrating south. Watching from the foreground is a younger duck that looks up forlornly at his family flying away.

The response is only a single word. "Surviving."

This time, the response flutters to earth on a paper airplane.

Two words. "Me too."

And a tiny little pink scrawl beneath that could be a heart.
