After an inexcusably long absence, I have finally made it back to my livejournal. I think the lst time I posted was sometime mid spring semester '04, and a bunch has happened since then. I spent the summer in Madison working as an ECG (electrocardiogram) technician at the UNiveristy of Wisconsin hospital. I also made it to New Mexico for a long weekend to visit a friend who worked at the VLA about an hour outside of Socorro, NM. For those of you who aren't up on your radio astronomy, The Very Large Array was featured in the movie Contact as the site where Jodie Foster's character did her SETI research. New Mexico is strikingly beautiful, if a little desolate. If you'd like to hear more about it, ask me sometime. Anyway, in early August i went back to MN for a week before heading off to Hawaii for my brother's wedding. We were on the island of Oahu for 10 days, in a rented house a half block from a gorgeous (and always uncrowded) beach. The trip wasn't as fun as I had hoped, but I still had great time and desire to go back. Now I'm back in Madison and in the midst of the first real week of class (we started last Thursday). I am EXTREMELY sorry for remaining out of touch for so long, but I will try my best to be around.

Brien- I did get your e-mail...THANKS A LOT!!!!! I will e-mail you sson, hopefully sometime tomorrow afternoon/night or this weekend.

In the spirit of staying in touch, anyone who would like some fun snail mail from me, send me an address and I'll get right on it. This especially goes for you Kristle, as I forgot to bring the mail I got from you this summer with me to Madison. Anyway, I have an absurdly early meeting tomorrow morning, so I must be off.
