Some general updates on my life
I have a new job...one that I could possibly stay in for awhile. I'm working at a construction company (weird...right?) in Newington. It definitely wasn't my first choice, but I'm liking it a lot. I'm in the Accounts Payable department, and even though I was BEYOND confused my first week, I'm actually starting to get the hang of it and having fun. The people I work with are so good-natured it's amazing. They all seem really happy all the time...and they joke around a lot (lots of laughing takes place here).
I'm a little worried about getting away from the healthcare side of things...my boss at my last job told me she was worried for me and didn't want me to lose my passion because it can be very easy for someone to fall into rhythm with a new position and forget what they really love to do. It's OK though...more than anything at this point I just need some money and a start-up position. Once I get more experience and have the time to polish my resume and submit applications and whatnot, I will. I just need to give it some time so I can work my way up a bit.
AJ got his new Jeep yesterday...he was so excited. It looks nice too- a nice dark green with grey/black seats and a black top. He's still a little jumpy on the stick but he's working on it..and I got a ride yesterday :)
He's up in MA right now helping his family work around the new house they bought for Cara that she's living in at school. I helped my mom coach volleyball today. I hate coaching, I would much rather just play--but that's alright I guess. I'll be working through practice most days anyway so I can only ever show up for games at this point.
That's basically the update...Stephers went away to school today, my sister is leaving in a week-ish and Dan will be going back soon too. Ahh that means I get to be home and have the house to myself once in awhile. Hopefully I'll start doing that gym thing soon, I would really love that. We'll see what happens.
