Tell Us Why You Love Your Body.

Even though this was sponsored by Victoria's Secret, I'd love to talk about why I love this mortal vehicle of mine.
Even though it is not especially attractive by magazine standards, it's still exceptionally tall and I really enjoy that from a practical perspective.
Even though I am not an athlete by any definition, my size still gives me great strength in absolute terms (even if not in relative).
But mostly, I am thankful the Good Lord made me whole and healthy. I have good genes of longevity and have been healthy as a horse for all but a handful of days in my entire life. The pox, the mumps, a bad flu in the second grade and typhoid fever a couple of years ago, and that's about it. If I (like many if not most men) act like a baby when I get a little illness, it's because I am very used to feeling great all the time, and even a slight cold is an affront to my person. I almost feel insulted.
However, the thing I enjoy the most about my body is my gastro-system. I can eat very much of almost anything, and I never ever have to worry about 'upset stomach' or 'indigestion' or 'throwing my system out of whack.' I was about 22 when I first got even a mild heartburn, and I had to be told what it was. If I can ingest it, I can digest it. This makes me fast friends with any matriarch hosting me for dinner for the first time (like when Charles first ate dinner with Rosie's family). I will enjoy your weird ethnic dishes immensly, and likely ask for seconds at least once.

writer's block.
