Oh, how I love spring! I see ads for SAD medication on the television and they're smart to stop running them in March, because the funny thing about being seasonally affected is how awesome it feels this time a year. It's like spring fever on steroids. It can be just as distracting as the sad half. There's baseball and wild poppies in the desert and... well, that's all I can think of right now.
I feel like the Cookie Monster singing that song "A round cookie with one bite out of it looks like a c. What else looks like a c? A who cares! [singing] C is for cookie, that's good enough for me.(x3) OH! Cookie cookie cookie starts with C." Seriously, spring could be nothing but baseball and sunshine and it'd be enough.
I got a good deal on a sturdy old steel french road bike. After a new pair of tires and some grease, it will run beautifully.
When I say grease, I think I mean teflon or something.
I know it's silly to be excited for the return of NASCAR since the off season is only like, 6 days in the winter, but I am. It's exciting to see new technologies working together beautifully with old technologies gone gonzo. It's also nice to see Toyota running with the good ol' boys.
The bull season is getting well under way and it promises excitement. The matador of his generation, José Tomas returns after an inexplicable 5 year hiatus to unprecedented demand. June 17th in the very anti-fiesta brava city of Barcelona, the crowds were lined up at 4:00am the day tickets went on sale.
Morante de la puebla is making a no less newsworthy presentation this summer by performing alone and unaccompanied at the "Beneficencia" during the San Isidro fair.
And, to top it all off, the end of Summer is going to find limited release for the Adrian Brody, Penelope Cruz Biopic about the last days in the life of the peerless "Manolete". The hip hollywood appeal should get the festival some exposure.
Re: The subject. It's true, i know a secret rainbow farm and anyone who believes me will be rewarded with the secret.
