from further afield

Here are some photos that I took on Hilary's digital camera while we were in Morocco.  I'll try and get my film developed, but these will hopefully keep you happy for the time being:

The wonderfully unique Djemaa El Fna, a square where a festival seems to place every night.  Acrobats perform, old men tell stories, herbalists prescribe cures and poisons, and some of the best food in Morocco is served at sit down benches

The hectic life of Rabat

Of course for the traveller life in Rabat is also very stressful!  Reading up on Sale (in the background) in a cafe in the Kasbah of Rabat.  The tea and pastries were amazing.

Marrakesh

More art from Marrakesh

Bou Inania Medersa in Meknes served as accommodation for students.  I wish my uni halls had looked like this, the rooms however weren't as enviable!

That's all for now

If you'd prefer me to use an LJ cut then just shout.  But I assume in the age of whizzy internet connections they'll be ok.
