Embry Riddle's Daytona Beach campus got a real nice present from Santa this year. Yesterday, December 25th, 2006, ERAU got hit by an F2 tornado. From the pictures I have seen right now, the damage is devistating. Luckily there are no injuries due to the campus being closed for break.
Over 50 planes are have what's called "Total Damage" on them, meaning they will never fly again. There are 15 planes on our ramp which look like they may be able to fly, but no one can tell the condition of them since our access to the ramp is blocked by a few tons of sheet metal (what's left of our maintence hanger) and a few planes.
