We had a problem with one of the FWA speakers Sunday evening. We realized the mids and tweeter wasn't working on the Right side. Long story short, the fuses were fine, and we couldn't find anything 'wrong' with it, unless we blew the tweeter.. but the mid range driver didn't work either, so it was a bit perplexing.

I got them to my house (just the main speakers, not the subs), plugged them in and they sound fine. Best I can figure is a thermal protection circuit was engaged in the speaker to protect them. We didn't let them cool off, because we kept using them.

I hooked them up and let 3 songs play as loud as I could stand it. That should have reproduced the problem if anything was hurt from what originally caused the problem (feedback from SOMEONE walking in front of the speaker. It's ok, it happened 3-5 times that weekend.. Just need to teach people not to do that, or to expect their mic to be off while they are walking off stage).

At any rate, while I was coiling cords, I noticed Drew on the floor with his ears covered. He came over and said "This is TOO LOUD" as he bonked the speaker with his outstretched finger, as if to say, 'no no no'. Too funny.
Back to storage they go!
