Writer's Block: Shhh… Don’t tell

Pretty much everyone from real-life. I get enough flack for commenting on shipper scenes in episodes of the shows I like, I am definitely not going to let it be known to people that I read and write fan-fiction. That's something I'd never hear the end of ( Read more... )

Oh yes... People thought I was gay for years cause I'm a shipper and I took a lot of crap for it.

Besides - isn't the anonymity one of the really great things about the internet?

Yeah,I got that on various occasions too.. "But only girls speak about that sort of thing so you must be gay or something"

I also get them giving me some odd logic that a lot the actresses I like are "too old for me" whatever the hell that means.

And I always get the idea [from people] that I'm doing something odd by liking them as characters and believing that there are things beyond their looks that make them intriguing, like because they're not "real" I shouldn't like them for non-physical qualities that they represent.

So yeah, considering the flack I get for liking relationship scenes in shows, and posting fairly detailed character critiques, I'm definitely not letting anyone from rl know that I read Fan Fic, especially that I like fluffy/sappy fic the most.Definitely not a "macho" thing at all so I would never be allowed to live it down if that got out.
