My brother Eric says that he should be coming back to the states in the spring time of next year. I was already looking forward to that time of year because of Resident Evil 5 but no game or media release can top having my brother out of that war. So now every front page news of the newest Baghdad suicide bombing grips my heart with cold fear and I have a duty to read each notice as they become available. I wonder, should Eric get wounded, would I know before CNN or Yahoo news reports the event? I take some comfort in knowing that things *really* are safer in Baghdad right now (yes, thanks to the surge it turns out), but that doesn't seem to stop the occasional explosion. The latest one was a woman suicide bomber that blew up a line of waiting civilians who were getting checked into the Green Zone. The US presence is already in the process of being voted out by the Iraqi parliament and it's so strange, because these insurgents are trying to assassinate and disrupt Iraqi government workers, not US troops specifically. It just makes me realize how the continued violence over there seems to carry on while ignoring foreign military all together. And here we are in the middle trying to break up a fight like recess.
Well, on an up note, I will post a link to the most hilarious video I've seen in months. I think this could be the makings of the next Leroy Jenkins bit, but in Left 4 Dead territory. It shows you how quickly a plan can fall apart. In this case, about 2 seconds. I just gotta love this guy as he screams "ABORT! ABOOORRT!!"
