Getting ready for Thanksgiving
Well, its the day before Thanksgiving and I'm getting packed as I write this. I don't know why, but I'm looking forward to turkey day a lot more than last year. Maybe it's because I know in the back of my mind that after this weekend is over, and Monday comes around, I'm gonna be so busy that I won't have time for anything. I'm gonna be going into crunch mode, mainly because I have a deadline I have to meet for the game, plus getting in final projects for classes and studying for final exams. Man I can't wait for this semester to be over. I swear, I'm never gonna take the equivalent of 22 credit hours again!
Here's my daily schedule: I get up about 9 in the morning, work on some XHTML and reading for English, I get a shower about 11 and head off to school where I spend my entire day going to class and working on the game and homework. I get home at about 10 or 11 at night, only to get a quick workout in the GYM, and watch Conan Obrien as I write in my online discussions for my online classes. After Conan, I work on my models for an hour or two and get to bed at about 2 or 3 in the morning. After doing that everday of the week, it starts to wear you down.
The good news is that we finally decided to switch engines, so that means I can get started detailing my models again. As for the team, we let on Mark and this guy named Dan to handle the sound. Dan's the music composer, and Mark is the sound effects. Both are really good at what they do, I just hope UAT has the sound studio up by next semester. The team is planning on bringing in voice actors sometimes next semester to act out the script, but if the sound studio isn't ready we'll have to find another studio in the area. That's really all that's going on with the game right now. Next week, I should be well into detailing the 4 different boss models, along with the prison inmates and the demon model. Maybe I'll post some pics of the models once I get them done, just so you guys can see what I'm working on.
As for this weekend, on Thanksgiving, me, my mom, Jim, and Mark are going to the Tom Hunts for Thanksgiving which should definitely be interesting. Think, alot of food, people, and alcohol. Afterwards, me and Mark are gonna head to Mike's because he's having a bonfire and some friends over which is gonna be fun, but I gotta remember to bring a jacket with me. It's too damn cold up there. For the rest of the weekend(well at least until Saturday), I'm just gonna see some old friends, and hang around the house. I gotta be back Saturday though because of a workshop that's being held here in Phoenix. Maybe we'll do something Saturday night. Hopefully.....
