Norton anti-ageing
The National Theatre's summer season went on sale to my membership level first thing this morning, and other obsessive theatricals will know that tends to be a bit of a bunfight for the best-value tickets, with the site regularly crashing in the past (things have been better the last couple of years but it did look wobbly for a bit again today.) Last night, then, was punctuated by a lot of short dreams about me trying to book tickets, just in case anyone was still doubting me when I said my theatregoing was an addiction.
Somewhere in the middle of all that though (it was not a good night's sleep, I woke up lots) was another dream that I think must have been influenced by the TV specials of Just A Minute that have been on BBC 2 the last couple of weeks to celebrate the show's 45th anniversary; as well as by the numerous tweets these specials have spawned, astounded that its host Nicholas Parsons is 88 years old.
I dreamed a TV panel show where the guests were each required to disclose an embarrassing secret. A couple of people made revelations, then it was the turn of Graham Norton, who revealed that he'd been lying about his real age, and was in fact 83 years old. He didn't seem to notice the massive shock this caused and acted as if he'd just shaved the odd year off, rather than decades.
According to his Wikipedia page, Norton is actually 48. OR SO HE CLAIMS! It also says it's his birthday today, which makes it downright spooky that I should not only dream about him, but dream about his age.
