You know those dreams-within-a-dream where you think you've woken up? That. I've been waiting for a new bank card to arrive, and as usual while I wait it's on my mind as I'm worried it'll get stolen in the post or something. I woke up from a dream in which I'd got my new card in the post, and realised it must have really happened because I had a clear picture of it in my head: The same as the old one, but with a silver number 16 logo along the top, commemorating something or other. I checked my wallet and indeed there was the card, black with the embossed 16 over the account details. The actual card number should have been the same as before, just with a new start and end date, but I could clearly pick out the numbers which were a different sequence. I checked the back of the card where the security number should be, and when I turned to the front of the card again it had gone from black to white, with a different set of logos on it and possibly a blurry photo of fields along the bottom. Then I looked in the box it had been sent in for the charger, because by the time I looked at the card a third time it had turned into a new phone, much like my current one but white and slightly chunkier, and indeed it needed charging. At which point I figured out that I hadn't actually woken up, and did so for real. And I did check my wallet just in case, but the new card hasn't really arrived without me noticing.
