Credit where it's due

Apropos nothing apart from yet another great episode, I'd just like to point out that in a quiet, no-fuss kind of way, Supernatural has turned into a fucking amazing TV show. I mean, the three people reading this will know I was already a fan. It's always been a fun TV show, managing to strike just the right balance between taking itself seriously and having a sense of humour, while the eye-candy stars don't hurt at all. It's unlikely to challenge Buffy in my long-term affections but bloody hell, the second half of Season 2 has put up one hell of a fight for the title. It's one of those things that don't really strike you when it's not being flashy and doing "a very special episode" but whether it's doing comedy, creepy or moving, it hasn't put a foot wrong for weeks.

Apparently the final two episodes, which are coming up here and have of course already been seen in the States, are incredible. I hope so - it's great when a show you've followed for a while rewards you by getting so much better all of a sudden. Like I say, no reason for this apart from the fact that I don't know anyone else who watches Supernatural and, while we're all praising Doctor Who for having such a great run at the moment, I thought this was due a round of applause as well.
