Shameless promotion, and a stream of consciousness

The comment stats wizard is a very interesting little social experiment that I think most of my readers should do. it makes for some interesting subject matter. In this case, there are a few anomalys that showed up that I would just like to bring to your attention.

  • trek_west has not commented in this journal on anything since the last comment stats post in January of 2008.
  • caitlin45 is tied with herself...Or was, rather.
  • Comment conversations tend to scue the results, but seeing as we're only having fun here and trying to foster some friendly competition/ribbing, we'll subtract that from the equation.

Other things that are clever include the very nice live blog that jdx_random did of the sound relief concerts, dedicated to the bushfires in Victoria, Australia. While I am normally a shrill for JDX's more amusing side, this is still incredibly high quality stuff. Go read it, because he's better than me. LOL.

Why do I have the sudden urge to see "Jersey Boys"? Franky Valley, oddly enough, is the first artist I could actually say I liked who I could refer to by name. This was all of eleven years ago now...But, while I'm not a real fan, his music tends to stick with me for no reason I can comprehend...well...besides the lyrics, which are self-explanatory, and sort of give the same lease on life that I can. I especially like his breakup songs, in particular "Walk like a man", because they, and more specifically, it, makes (or is it make) a statement that says "face the world".

Walk like a man, talk like a man, walk like a man my son. No woman's worth fallin' on the earth, so walk like a man my son.

Definitely a good mantra to have.

Rock Radio redefined at 5 PM eastern here on HKC Radio. I don't honestly know what will happen on said show, but it will be something. Live and Loaded will be next, then Audiotrocity hopefully, and lessed something goes wrong, Sonnabend may very well be returning. I'm looking forward to this.

The best of the Domain went off better than I thought it would, though I must admit having had tech issues towards the end. the D-Link did all that was asked of it, keeping my connection to the server stable.

With that, it's time for me to get the heck out of here for now. Fader down.
