Oh god, Nick.

The PROBLEM with 2007 Nick is that, while unbelievably hot, he's kind of...um. Is there any affectionate sort of term you can use to describe this? Because the only word running through my head is "tool".

The relevant part, if you don't feel like clicking:

Q100 hosted a BSB bowling event with about 25 winning listeners. At the event, Nick Carter apparently ended up hitting it off with one of the listeners and afterward asked one of the morning show DJs to give the number to that particular girl. Jeff, being the ridiculous guy he is, made a game out of it. He revealed on air the following morning that Nick had met a girl at the bowling event and that he was interested in seeing her and to give her his number. As a result, numerous girls called in thinking it was them until the right girl called in. Jeff gave her his number and the morning show was encouraging her to give him a call. Finally, she relented and told them she would, but also revealed that she was married! Evidentally, she called him and left him a voicemail but Nick never called back and the girl and The Bert Show all thought that it was so strange since he insisted on giving Jeff his number for her and he had expressed so much interest. This morning we found out that another listener of The Bert Show happened to have Nick Carter's phone number through a mutual friend of Nick's. This girl thought it would be funny to call Nick and impersonate the original girl just to see what would happen--furthermore, this girl called Nick BEFORE the original girl. Nick answered and they had a 10-15 minute conversation about him coming to Atlana to see her after he's doing in Nashville, TN later this week or next and all this stuff...then the girl panicked and told him she was married, but the marriage wasn't going so well and they were probably going to get a divorce (which none of this is true for the original girl)--and Nick didn't care! He was thrilled that she would be ending her marriage and that it was a great opportunity. The imposter and Nick ended their call and then later on she texted him letting him know that she was just a crazy fan and that she was sorry. The imposter confessed all of this on the air this morning and spoke with the original bowling girl and The Bert Show about how interested in the real girl he was and how sorry she was for screwing things up. In the end, the two girls laughed it off, but The Bert Show now thinks that Nick will believe Jeff gave out his number to multiple people and not trust the radio station again.

Phew! Kind of interesting... It was just funny to listen to it play out on the air over the last couple of days.

Of course, it is your prerogative to believe it or not.

!bri, uncomplimentary
