[12 of 12] December 2011 - The very last edition
Today is the 12 of December and my last chance to ever do the "12 of 12" project since Chad is giving up on this project after 6 years. I wasn't a part of it all the time but almost. It was always fun to do and I loved sharing my day with all of you and see how people all over the world spent their days.
I hope you enjoy this very last "12 of 12" entry.
My morning ritual: A shower, getting dressed and then enjoy a cup of coffee while checking my flist. This Monday morning the coffee was extra large and extra strong.
The piggies were pretty hungry. Nixe almost ate my iPhone.
In the back you can see Littlefoot - for those who don't follow my lj, this is one of two new piggies that moved in with me, Nixe and Napoleon into the new apartment three weeks ago. Littlefoot got her name because she's still pretty young and tiny, compared to Nixe.
Normally, I'm not allowed to take pictures in the office but this Santa was sitting on my desk when I came to work this morning. I think my boss brought him but he wouldn't tell ...
Last year we were covered in deep snow. This year it's still warm and mostly sunny (mixed with some heavy rain at times).
A huge advantage of my new apartment: It's so close to work I can walk every day and it only takes about 10 minutes. This is a house with some christmas decoration in the front yard.
Please ignore the street lamp and imagine this was taken while lying on the ground of a deserted island with a Labrador sitting next to you ;)
Okay, the clouds shouldn't be there as well but who cares ...?
I was greeted by the piggies when I came home. They pretty fast got used to the sound my key makes and they always start squeak when they hear it.
The one in the back is Blondie - aka Lady Gaga, the second new member of the family. She's still pretty shy and doesn't like to be photographed but I wanted to include her into this very last 12 of 12.
This is the view from my living room/balcony. Not yet 4.30 pm and it's already getting dark :( But the view is fantastic.
I finally managed to put some of the pictures on the walls this weekend. This is my study. Almost all black and white with those trendy NCY pictures you can buy pretty much everywhere this year.
These are the Christmas cards I got this year. beyondthepen, yours arrived today. Thank you!!!
This is my chilling zone. My new sofa decorated with the pictures (basically, it's ordinary wallpaper put on a board) my dad made for me and a new carpet I bought on Saturday. It's pretty comfy now.
I painted this picture frame black yesterday and checked on it after it was dry. It still needed another layer of painting so I did this right before I posted the pics. It's for another b/w picture I had and since the frame was brown I had to paint it black or white. I went with black to get some contrast. Hope it'll look good once it's done.
A huge thank you to Chad for creating this project and bringing people all over the world together for one day a month. I would've missed so much if I had missed this project!
