With Kate's "I love you" still in his head, Jack slowly turns around to Hurley and Ben.
For a moment he wishes it would be Kate instead, then he remembers Aaron and the love for Kate he'd seen in the boy's eyes so often, and he knows sending her away was the right thing to do.
He misses her, but knowing she'll be safe, takes away some of the pain.
Her last kiss still lingers on his lips, and he knows it'll stay there for the rest of his life.
He's ready for his final journey; without Kate at his side - but with her love in his heart.
