Without thinking twice, Kate aimed the gun at the man that looked so much like John Locke, but wasn’t him.
A few days ago, she would’ve hesitated, questioning, if what she was about to do was indeed the right thing to do.
Not today.
Locke was dead and the monster he’d become was trying to kill Jack.
Jack- the man they all owe a lot.
Jack- the man who’d had her from hello.
There was no way she’d let him die.
And that thing (the monster) had asked for it earlier…
"I saved you a bullet!" Kate pulled the trigger.

Walt knew his dad wouldn’t approve of this. But why should he care? Why should he suddenly listen to him (a stranger), when instead of ‘good job, Walt’ he only got to hear ‘Don’t do this’?
Of course, Mr. Locke was a stranger too. But he showed him things instead of telling him to stay away. Walt liked spending time with him. Why shouldn’t he then?
"Mr. Locke? Can you show me how to throw a knife?" he asked, ignoring the voice in his head that sounded so much like his mom telling him he should listen to his dad.
