They'd been working the crime scene for a while, when McGee suddenly broke the silence.
"It's raining," he said and Tony had already one of his 'I may not be a geek, but I'm not dumb' speech ready, when something in McGee's voice made him stop halfway.
"It rained last year, when Kate …," McGee continued, but even without this explanation Tony already knew what this was about.
"The boss will not die, probie," he said, putting as much confidence in his voice as possible.
"It always rains when people die, Tony. Last year … it was, as if someone up there was crying over Kate."
"You're spending too much time with Abby. Gibbs will be fine. The director said so, and she won't lie to us. Go back to work. We don't want to risk that Gibbs wakes up before we've solved the case." Patting McGee on the back - harder than necessary, but only because he knew McGee needed a Tony-treatment and not because he felt doing it - Tony focussed back on the evidence, pretending he believed what he'd just said, although deep inside he was as worried as McGee, and the memory of Kate didn't make it better either.
