Sighing, Jenny signed the file and put it on the small pile to her right.
At moments like this she really hated her job. Staying late while everyone else had long gone home to their families, to friends, or their boats ... was cruel and not what she'd wanted.
She enjoyed sitting in this office and getting the chance to meet some of the most powerful people in the world. This paperwork, however, the long hours no one seemed to give her credit for, were killing most of the fun this job provided during daytime.
Sighing, Jenny reached for the next file, when someone knocked and then entered only seconds later.
"Ready to go home, Chérie?"
"Took you long enough to check up on me." Smiling, she took the hand he offered her.
"I wanted to give you time to finish here," he replied, placing a soft kiss on her cheek. "... so I can have you all for myself for the rest of the night."
"Sounds like a very good plan."
Turning off the light, Jenny followed him to the elevator, for once glad that no one else was here, seeing her leave with what she playfully called her 'guilty pleasure' ...
