Timo Scheider to compete in stock-car show
Timo Scheider will contest the ‘TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge 2008’. In the event held on 29th November, 2008, in Düsseldorf’s LTU Arena, the new DTM Champion will drive for the team of TV presenter and the event’s organiser, Stefan Raab.
”I’m delighted with having the chance of being a part of this event,” said Scheider on Tuesday evening during his appearance in Raab’s entertainment show ‘TV total’. “That goes without saying,” replied Raab and informed the spectators: “I signed Timo to beef up my squad. It’s time for us to again win a title, this year.” Raab hopes that Scheider will be able to also demonstrate his skills on a gravel track. “I know where to hit an opponent to turn him around - although this isn’t our common practice in DTM,” admitted Scheider. “But I’m looking forward to the event. Usually I have to avoid anything that might result in a damaged car. But now I will have the opportunity to test what I have learned in the past years.”
Apart from Scheider, the likes of Martin Tomczyk and his girlfriend Christina Surer, motor-racing legend Hans-Joachim Stuck, former heavyweight boxer Axel Schulz, TV presenter Elton, singer Giovanni Zarella, sport commentator Frank Buschmann, TV presenter Alida-Nadine Lauenstein and reigning TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge Champion Christian Clerici also will compete in the crash challenge. ProSieben is going to cover ‘Europe’s biggest car war’ live: on 29th November from 20:15hrs.
