Today is Theresa's birthday. She's seventeen now and I'm wondering if that is part of the reason her parents were a little concerned about her taking this trip with Marcus and me. Not that she is seventeen, but the fact she is celebrating here in Paris with us rather than in Sunnydale with them. I woke her up with breakfast in bed. It wasn't anything too fancy, pastries that I picked up from the cafe not too far away and the coffee that she loved the other night.
Today we're going to do whatever she wants to do. Marcus and I are prepared to go through shop after shop if that is how Theresa wants to spend her day. We considered buying something for her on our own, but honestly we're in Paris. This is the place of a million of the best shops. It made more sense to take her shopping and let her pick out whatever she wants. We want to spoil our queen today.
Tonight there are dinner reservations at Le Grand-Véfour. We'll probably visit a club or two. I'm told it shouldn't be hard to slip in without being carded. I just want to ensure this is the best possible birthday for Theresa and that she realizes how much I love her.
