A Pesky Blog Sociologist

How do you go about making moral choices in your everyday life? Is this something you have written about in your blog?

If so, I would love to have a read as part of my PhD research in Sociology.

I think you raise an interesting point. It is something that I will factor in when doing the interviews - what are the developmental aspects - if you can excuse the psychological language - of moral identity construction?

Just because I am an opportunistic ... would you be interested in participating?

Can you think of any posts where you've written about a moral decision you've been personally trying to work out in your everyday life - a situation, if you like, where you've been really grappling with the question of 'what to do'?

Another option might be to look for posts where you've discussed a general moral strategy or orientation - for example, some people write in their blogs about the importance of helping others, of protecting the self, of practicing random acts of kindness, or doing 'good things' because it makes you feel good. So it can be quite general and abstract or more specific and concrete. Both are fine as well.

If not, maybe you could blog about a 'moral moment' that has already occurred but you haven't recorded - or even maybe something in the future. If something pops up, write about it, and if you wish, let me know.

Thanks for your time.
