“Are you really sure he will like this?” asked Tegoshi rather worriedly.
“No worries, Tegoshi! It’s perfect!” calmed Shige and started wrapping the gift, surprisingly beside being the smartest member in NEWS, he has talent on wrapping stuff too.
“Yeah, with his well-built body like now, he will be perfect wearing our gift!” bounced Massu happily.
“But …” Tegoshi was still wasn’t sure if Yamapi would like their gift. It was Shige’s crazy idea. And since Tegoshi didn’t know what else to buy, as Yamapi has almost everything already, he decided to chip in for the gift. And Massu bought it in Tokyo before they all headed to Hokkaido.
“So typical Tegoshi, always concern for Yamashita-kun!” teased Shige.
“No! I’m just don’t want him to think we play prank on him!” Tegoshi shook his head.
“Tego, are you in love with Yamapi? Ouch, you broke my heart!” pouted Massu and acted he was about to faint.
“I’m not! Stop teasing me, guys!” cried Tegoshi.
“Haha, then stop worrying, he will like this for sure, foo!” said Shige and imitated the famous foo action from HG.
“Foo!” followed Massu then he nudged Tegoshi to also follow them. He refused but Massu’s puppy eyes melted his wall of pride, so a shy “Foo!” also formed from Tegoshi.
“Yay!” cheered Shige and Massu and clapped their hands happily.

It was 5 minutes before midnight when Yamapi heard the knocks on his door. He frowned, he turned his head to Ryo’s bed only to found Ryo was snoring already and covered his head with the blanket.
“What? A minute ago I still saw him read a book and now he’s sleeping?” grumbled Yamapi and walked lazily to open the door. He peered and saw no one standing outside the door.
“Great! Kusano isn’t even here, but still someone is dare to play prank on me?” angered Yamapi on his mind. He walked off his bed again but another knocks were banged on the door, he opened it instantly and ready to scold, but this time Koyama, Shige, Massu and Tegoshi stood in front of him and shouted, “Happy Birthday, Yamashita-kun!”
He was still speechless and later another voice was heard behind him, “Pi, happy birthday!” grinned Ryo and gave him a light hug.
“Thanks you guys!” he said with teary eyes.
“C’mon, don’t just stand there, come inside!” invited Ryo.
“Yay, we will have a slumber party!” cheered Koyama who came in first followed by Shige, Massu and lastly Tegoshi. All of them were busy carried piles of boxes and shopping bags. They all sat on the floor and Koyama unpacked a box and it was a big strawberry birthday cake. Yamapi’s eyes widened in surprise. Ryo lit all the candles and they started to sing happy birthday for him. He was about to blow the candles when Tegoshi exclaimed, “Eeekk, you haven’t made a wish!” and all of them started chanting, “Make a wish! Make a wish! Make a wish!”
Yamapi was embarrassed but then he closed his eyes, after few moment he opened his eyes again and this time blew the candles all in once.
“Sugoiiii!!” admired Tegoshi and followed by everyone’s clapping hands.
“Minna arigatou!” he was really touched with all the care and attention his fellow members gave him.
“Now it’s time for opening the gifts!” declared Koyama then gave him a big wrapped gift box.
“Yay!” excited Yamapi like a little child. He opened it and surprised with its content.
“Whoaaahhh!! What a big crab! You really took it seriously when I said I want to eat crab! Arigatou!”
“Yamashita-kun, this is from me, Massu and Shige.” said Tegoshi shyly and took out a gift box and handed to Yamapi.
“Thanx guys!” he opened it and saw the black leather HG costume inside the box.
“Oh! This is super cool!” he exclaimed and tried on the hat instantly.
“See? He loves it!” whispered Shige to Tegoshi.
“Fooo!” shouted Yamapi, of course with the famous HG style. Everyone laughed at his action.
“Pi, sorry, I didn’t get a chance to find you a present, but here, maybe you can buy yourself.” said Ryo in regret as he handed him an envelope.
“Thanks Ryo-chan, the thoughts that count!” replied Yamapi still in happy state.
“Can we eat the cake?” asked Massu all the sudden.

The party ended at 2 am, as they would have a concert the next day. Yamapi was still in happy mood, he always wanted to experience celebrating birthday at the concert, and this year he got the chance. So he did his best to show the audience how happy he was, even too happy, as he showed everyone the gifts he got from NEWS members including wearing HG costume and brought the crab to the stage. He also surprised to see another cake and candles to blow, and it’s even twice as bigger as the night before cake. And of course the moment that all audiences have been waiting for, he finally stripped that day, what a fan service!
At the backstage …
“Haha Pi, finally you showed off your muscles and boobs to the audiences!” laughed Koyama.
“It’s because I’m very happy! So decide to give something in return to the fans.” replied Yamapi shyly.
“Lucky fans!” commented Ryo.
“Ohh look who’s here!” shrieked Massu as he spotted two guys coming into their dressing room.
“Uchi-kun! Notty!! Long time not see!” greeted Tegoshi happily then run to them and hugged them tightly. Other members followed him and it became a group hug, something they haven’t done for a long time, ever since Uchi’s scandal last year.
“Yamapi, happy birthday!” chorused Uchi and Kusano after they released the group hug.
“Thanx for coming! I never expected you two will come all the way to Hokkaido!” excited Yamapi.
“We always wanted to visit but only now we got the chance plus we wanted to wish you happy birthday in person!” explained Uchi.
“Arigatou, I never expect my wish come true so fast!”
“Ehh, what did you wish?” puzzled Kusano.
“Last night I wish for eight of us to be reunited again this year, even only for one day!” answered Yamapi.
“Ooohhh…” everyone felt touched for Yamapi’s wish, he could wish anything for his own sake, but instead he wished for NEWS to be reunited.
“This is the happiest birthday I ever have, thanks for sticking with me all these years, we will make NEWS to the TEPPEN once again! Someday, somehow!” announced Yamapi positively.
“That’s the positive Yamapi we always knew, you don’t change at all, only you became more crazy like Akira!” laughed Koyama and signaled the other members for another group hug.
“Minna, let’s go karaoke! My treat!” invited Yamapi.
“Yay!” cheered the other members happily, they changed clothes and race to get inside the van. Ryo and Yamapi were the last ones in the dressing room.
“Nee, Pi, you said it was last night wish? What’s today wish?” asked Ryo curiously.
“Hi…mit…su! It’s a secret!” replied Yamapi in victory tone and left Ryo pouted for not knowing his second wish.
But actually all Yamapi’s wishes come true, because he wished the exact same thing.
