tinkering and cleanup before end of act

I've been playing a second run through for my main OC character in Dragon Age 2.  I play slow, so It's been weeks for Act 1 alone.  I'm just finishing up a few stray things, like returning the warden letters, because Thedas doesn't have a UPS.  My writing is not completely stalled, but it is slow, so this is only my 3rd run through, unlike all you other addic... er enthusiasts. :)

Alas I got to the point where even Aveline started to prod me to move on. So I decide to double check that I got all the companion armor (I did) and check where the combustion grenade is.  I went back to the location, and the cave was still available, but recipe was gone.   Damn.

I look, and it's part of a quest I did a couple weeks ago.  I want to make like Vael and  yell, 'Maker, NOOOOOOO' as I do not want to redo all that.  How hard can it be to cheat?

I'd already figured out how to edit a save, first time was to figure out if my DAO import save was correct or the code using it was wrong.  Much digging discovered that the import flags were correct, (I messed up several decisions in DAO, but I only have one finished game there as I only bought it with holiday money in January)  But I did see how to monkey with stats, money, and approval.  So now I wanted to find the flag for recipes before I moved on.

It took some hours, but I found the table, found the id code for the grenade and got it successfully changed. (I hadn't used the tool for months and got new one to try too.)  It looks like no one else has posted the recipe codes.  I'm far enough in that I don't want to redo the game to learn them, maybe next run through)  I'm looking forward to the fell grenade, whenever the recipe appears.

I'm planning tp do one more run through loking for random bandits or that chest I couldn't open on sundermount.  I'm not gonna fix any boo-boos I made on the first run, like losing isabela, because they are Aldera's history.  Granted, this time approval from Merrill went up much faster than before, and like the first time Fenris approved of me more than Anders for a while.  That didn't last once Fenris visited the Gallows.  I may have to cheat to lose Isabela this time as I'm taking her long more this time. (same skill set was redundant 1st time) but I am determined to make for the same outcome.  This run is to refresh dialogue and verbal style, not 'improve' it.

And then to the deep roads and glory!

And in case anyone wants to know, it's 20000.

3rd run, dragon age 2, aldera hawke, da2, cheats
