Hmm
Haven't updated in a while. The last few days have been kinda uneventful.
Yesterday at worked it rained like none other. Luckily the plane wasn't there, and we weren't doing anything so we took shelter in the hub from about 10 mins tell it stopped. Then Alex's tug broke down. Alex or I don't know anything about tug engines really. We opened the hood, wiggled some wires and said it was broke. He got on and I pushed him over to the tugline where the short mechanic guy came and fixed it in 5 minutes.
The 767 east coast has been late in both coming and leaving. Not sure what is up. Still doing load and balance for it, which is fun. We had a M1 have the doors get stuck today, so I had to put it on sideways. Unload supervisor Brianna was like "Good Job Nick !" over the radio, apparently she was very amazed that we can put cans on both fowards and sideways.. Thats what they pay me to do every day..
Some dood from the FAA was here today, plus Customs (who carry guns now) "Oh my god, that packaged didn't go through FDC!! SHOOT IT !" Our security guard apparently had an allergic reaction to some cashews. Airport Fire Rescue had to come take him away. The "Fire Medic" truck came blazing through our area with no siren, just lights. I came close to hitting it, because its so wet outside you can't stop worth a damn.
Got my GPS flight unit yesterday. Got some parts to make a cord so that my computer can talk to it. I wish I had a little more information about it, and how to get it to work.. Took me 2 hours (ok 2 hours of part time internet, aim and game playing and gps flight stuff) to figure out which pin was positive, had to look up a IC on the internet and trace the trace back to the pin to figure positive... Or the guy I bought it from could have just marked it..
I don't think I'll be going to balls. Too difficult to get there, plus it'd be a lot of money, which I can spend on something rocket related instead of just going as a spectator. I did get the time off work, but I guess I'll tell my sup I can work an extra week, which also means lots of extra money. With working sundays, I've been getting some OT this last paycheck. Its starting to feel like peak with all this rain, increased volume, and dark stormy nights. I can't wait for real peak in December. Good times..
