Timeline: Taken after October 5th. Shinji's S.Link was maxed and he survived the bullet. Akihiko's just visited Shinji in hospital and gained his new Persona, Caesar and is on his way back to the dorms.

The differences are that Akihiko is from the Female Protagonist's timeline and is of the Star Arcana instead of the Emperor. Shinji survives due to the added S.Link. Most of the story is generally the same as the original.
Character Personality: The best way to describe Akihiko is strong and determined. He's the captain of his school's boxing team and has never lost a match to anyone. He likes taking on difficult challenges due to his competitive nature and he doesn't like to admit to failure readily.
He has an aura about him that causes people to look up to him, and in the case of girls, fawn over him. He's an able student and a good role-model, doing quite well in his exams and studying when necessary. He also seems cool and distant to those who know little about him, never getting overly emotional about things. This adds to his mysterious aura.
When it comes to socializing, especially with girls, Akihiko is a pretty awkward guy. The girls at school literally throw themselves at him but he doesn't really see it and just sees them as a nuisance. The guy doesn't even know what love feels like until someone tells him. He also doesn't really make friends outside of SEES members and only truly opens up to those he knows very well. Those who have the privilege of getting to know him well can see he's a trustworthy friend who won't give up on them and will fight no matter the cost.
Before Shinji was injured though, it was different. Akihiko would try to ignore his past and keep even those close to him at a distance. Because of his failure to save Miki he would be furious at any weakness he showed and would keep striving to get stronger; even the slightest sign of weakness would bother him. But from seeing Shinji take death head on he finds resolution in his heart (gaining a new persona, Caesar) and vows to do the same - to stop worrying about his past and his weaknesses. Because of this he faces challenges with a new sense of determination. He was the first of the group to say he will take on Nyx even if the odds of winning are impossible. He would rather die in a struggle than give up without a fight.
Akihiko isn't all serious, calm and mysterious though. He's a friendly guy and has a sense of humour. He took on Junpei's bet of who could be the first to pick up a girl, and he doesn't mind teasing people he's close to. He can joke and laugh just like any other teenager (even joking about sneaking into Tartarus wearing Junpei's hat).
Character Abilities: Akihiko's first and probably most prominent ability is his boxing. From a young age he took on boxing to become stronger and better at protecting those close to him. Because of his sheer determination and dedication to this he has never lost a match. Akihiko is also very calm and collected, he doesn't have very many emotional outbursts and can keep a cool head as well as think of good strategies for difficult situations; this makes him a very good leader and is probably why he was picked to be the Captain of the boxing team at Gekkoukan - aside from his prowess in boxing. In battle he uses a variety of fist weapons.
Akihiko - being a member of SEES - can summon his Persona, Caesar, to deal electric based attacks on his foes. He can also debuffs to weaken groups of enemies. Akihiko has never had trouble summoning his Persona, even when he first received his evoker.
At school he is one of the best students. Though he is no Mitsuru, he gets good grades and studies hard before an exam.
He can also eat like no other. He can put down two extra large beef bowls and doesn't understand why others can't.
Character Weaknesses: Akihiko does not like to share his problems. He feels it's his problem and he must carry it alone and that sharing it would only cause problems for others. He even states later on that he can't carry this guilt (for Miki's death) forever but it took him that long to even admit it.
He is extremely stubborn and does not like to admit failure readily. It took him quite a few months to finally admit he lost to the bet he and Junpei made. This probably comes from the fact that losing just isn't an option in his mind and accepting it is a sign of weakness.
Because of losing his sister, Miki, he has a fear of losing others. Because of this he very rarely opens up and lets people get close to him. It is probably what makes him seem so aloof and mysterious but really he believes he's protecting people by doing this. He's trying to overcome it though and let people in but it won't be an instant turnaround.
He's not a social butterfly - in fact Akihiko is very awkward in social situations. He's sometimes completely oblivious to what he's saying, or won't realize the other person might not find the conversation interesting. One might say he's inarticulate.

Why your character should be a Meister: Akihiko is someone who wants to be at the forefront of a fight and to have some form of control. He has the potential to be a great leader and works best with others than on his own. Although he is a determined fighter with strength and stubbornness - he's also a very caring guy who wants to help those in need. He's also very good at pushing people to carry on and not give up. He gets on well with all the members of SEES and strives to protect them. Although awkward, he's a caring guy and would want to help his Weapon partner as best as he can. Plus he loves a challenge.

Soul Appearance: The soul is a blood red colour and has this expression on it's face for the most part. It also has the band-aid in the same place as Akihiko above it's left eye and Akihiko's hair style, albeit in the same red colour as the soul itself.
