Katrina Plows Through Florida
Katrina's Fury
Katrina leaves families homeless
Katrina hits Florida: 7 dead; 1 million in dark
Yep, I'm all over the newspaper, t.v. news channels and the internet.
So this is what I've been up to;
A look at the impact of Hurricane Katrina on southeast Florida:
- Seven people were killed, including four by falling trees.
- More than 1.3 million customers lost power. Florida Power & Light said about 1 million residential and business customers remained without power Friday evening.
- Sustained winds reached 80 mph; wind gusts were recorded as high as 92 mph.
- About 500 people were in shelters late Friday.
- 12.25 inches of rainfall
- Three mobile home parks in Davie were damaged and one person was trapped inside a mobile home.
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport reopened Friday with limited flights; Miami International Airport also reopened, but full operations were not expected to be restored until Saturday.
- Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami closed all outpatient clinics and its primary care center until Monday. Some 35 ventilator patients at Kindred Hospital in Fort Lauderdale were transferred due to generator failure.
- Public schools in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and a number of other counties were closed Friday. Several colleges were shut as well.
Yes, very nice.
I'm spreading fear and creating havoc all over the states.
Special me =)
Later children,
